Hi my love, I’m Kat Ashmore, your go-to gal for all things delicious, simple and satisfying! With over 2 million incredible friends in my social media community, I’m on a mission to turn ordinary meals into extraordinary experiences that are nutritious, filling and functional. If you haven’t caught on by now – I’m a big believer in as little fuss as possible!

As a professionally trained private chef and former producer and recipe developer for the iconic Martha Stewart, I’m thrilled to bring you into my kitchen, nestled in the heart of Connecticut, to share what I’ve learnt over the years cooking for clients, for the television and for my husband, kids and our community!

Before I get too ahead of myself, let me take you back to the summer of 2019 when I traded in my bustling career for the role of a stay-at-home mom. Feeling a bit sluggish and weighed down, both physically and mentally, I decided it was time for a change. Can you relate? That’s when my kitchen became my sanctuary, and I started sharing my daily culinary adventures with all of you.

Cooking, for me, is an act of self-love, and I want you to feel the same. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a kitchen newbie, my goal is to make every meal a celebration. Through simple, fun recipes, I’ve empowered myself and others to fall in love with the kitchen and, most importantly, with ourselves.

Daily cooking can feel like a chore, right? But it doesn’t have to be. We can either dread or celebrate those moments, and it’s never too late to change our approach. I firmly believe that we all have the power to take control of our wellness and listen to our bodies. Together, let’s redefine our relationship with food.

Fast forward to January 2024, and guess what? My debut cookbook, Big Bites, hit the shelves and skyrocketed to become a New York Times bestseller in just a few weeks! Featuring 110 simple, nourishing, mostly gluten-free recipes, this book is my way of sharing the joy and flavor that have transformed my life.

“Big Bites” is more than just a cookbook – it’s a celebration of nature, seasonality, and the joy of cooking. I hope it inspires you, my wonderful kitchen companions, to think outside the box with familiar ingredients and savor life’s big bites.
